I’m Journie Franklin, and I’m a sophomore at the University of Houston majoring in Exercise Science. I’m also a member of the UH Track & Field team, where I specialize as a sprinter and jumper. Outside of athletics, I love going on adventures, shopping, meeting new people, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I grew up in the small town of Richmond, Texas, where I learned the value of humility, hard work, and staying grounded. Those roots continue to motivate me every day—both on the track and in the classroom. One of my biggest goals is to become the first person in my family to graduate from college, which is a milestone I’m incredibly proud to be working toward. In the future, I hope to pursue a career working with athletes. My passion for sports, performance, and helping others reach their potential drives everything I do. I’m excited to keep growing, learning, and creating opportunities not only for myself, but for the people who look up to me.
