I’m Tyler Bailey, a Division I football athlete at Sam Houston State University, where I play defensive back for the Bearkats. I was born in Chicago and raised in North Dallas, and I started my career as a quarterback before transitioning into a versatile athlete and ultimately finding my role in the secondary. I take pride in being a free safety/rover hybrid—playing fast, physical, and smart, with range and leadership on the field. I’ve been part of Sam Houston’s transition into Conference USA, contributing to a historic season that included the program’s first-ever bowl game victory. My game is built on making impact plays, being reliable in coverage, and continuing to grow every time I step on the field.Off the field, I’ve earned my bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Accounting, and I’m currently working toward my MBA.I serve as a student-athlete representative and take pride in being a leader both on and off the field.
