My name is Braden East, and I'm a 20-year-old men's basketball player living out a dream I've had since I was a kid—playing for my dream school. Every time I put the UofH logo on my chest, I'm reminded of all the early mornings, late nights, and sacrifices it took to get here. I'm proud to be from Houston, Texas, because it's the city that shaped who I am. Growing up here taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and always looking out for the people around you. Basketball has given me opportunities I never take for granted, and my goal is to use those opportunities to give back to the community that poured so much into me.
