Hi, my name is Djessira. I’m from Mali, West Africa, where I was born and raised. I come from a basketball family my dad was a professional basketball player in Europe. Two of my aunts also played professionally in France, and one of my siblings is now playing basketball in Spain. I started playing basketball when I was nine years old, and it has been something I truly love and enjoy ever since.
I’m the oldest of four children, with two younger brothers and a sister. Outside of basketball, I like listening to music, watching TV, fashion, and exploring new things. My favorite food is Yassa, which reminds me of home.
In the future, I’d love to stay connected to the game by becoming a coach.
